Drawing, as well as being a useful tool for artists and designers, is a relaxing and pleasurable activity, which can be enjoyed by anybody. Enhance your visual skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an alternative to life drawing, or a complimentary course for those students who have completed the basic drawing course.

The aim of the course is to build up a body of work, over a five week period, by close observation of natural form, taking elements such as shape, form, light shade and texture from the subjects as inspiration and by using imagination and experimentation, making a progression towards the abstract.

The course will be encouraging the use of different drawing media i.e. pens, coloured pencils, crayons, oil pastel as well as a selection of B pencils. An A4 sketchbook will be useful for keeping a record of exercises and experimental drawings and an A3 pad for larger drawings.

Equipment required: A3 Cartridge Pad ,Pencils in the B-6B range Putty Rubber, Knife or Pencil Sharpener An extra A3 cheap pad for quick sketches and line drawings optional
